Fused Glass
The fused glass jewelry and decor pieces got started accidently. Jim had a latent curiosity about fusing glass, and we had a growing number of 5 gallon buckets accumulating of glass we had collected that was unsuitable for chimes. Jim began to crush his own glass (make his own frit). We acquired a small kiln and Jim was in business...Soon the pieces began to show the beauty of the original glass yet in new shapes. That has become our inspiration. Again all our pieces are one of a kind, and we cannot make two exactly the same. size yes...color and pattern match...no...
All glass is from recycled material from the Oregon coast glass blowers.

Sea Sprites & Signs
Some of the driftwood that I pick up just “talks” to us. I brought one home and Suzanne said, “This piece says its name is Harry and it wants out! Maybe I’ve been working her too hard when she starts talking to the wood! But we do see faces and animals in some of the driftwood and Suzanne brings these out with a wood burner. Again, each of these is unique and one-of-a-kind pieces. Some of the wood has flat surfaces that Suzanne can burn in signs on, i.e. “Gone Fishing”, “Mermaid Crossing”, “Crab’s in”, your name, your address, etc. Most pieces go for $5-$10. Miscellaneous
Starfish candle holders, sea shell napkin rings, sea shell fruit skewers, Message in a Bottle, driftwood center pieces, and Christmas ornaments. Some of the scrap glass doesn’t lend itself to being readily used in the chimes, so we are going to be offering some of it as “sea glass” after running it through the tumbler. Tumbling gives the glass a very silky feel with no sharp edges. And we are going to attempt fusing some of the glass into jewelry and other products. This should happen later in The Spring and we will advise when these products become available. Suzanne is continuously coming up with new ideas. Then I get to figure out how to engineer the final product. Makes life interesting!
